Ombre / Powder Brows

Will it hurt?
No your eyebrow tattoo shouldn’t be painful thanks to topical numbing which is applied before and during the procedure. If you experience discomfort at any point we encourage you to inform our artist as we are always happy to pause the service and apply additional numbing. Your comfort is important and we strive to make every clients experience as comfortable as possible.
Is cosmetic tattoo permanent?
Cosmetic tattoo is semi-permanent and for good reason. Firstly our faces will inevitably change as we age meaning however perfect your tattoo may look initially there is no guarantee that it will suit your face in the distant future. Secondly for a tattoo to be permanent the pigment has to be implanted much deeper into your skin. Not only is this a dangerous idea when dealing with delicate facial skin but all pigments whether made for cosmetic tattoo or traditional tattooing will gradually cool as they age, giving off a blue/grey tint. Our semi-permanent tattoo techniques can last perfectly up to two years and be refreshed with a touch up whenever you feel one is needed.
How long do they take to heal?
Eyebrow tattoo has an overall healing period of four weeks, which can be broken down into three stages.
Stage one accounts for the first 2 - 5 days after your appointment, your tattoo will be very dark as scabs form over the disrupted skin. It is normal to experience what we call ‘brow shock’ in this phase of healing as they will be much darker than expected but this is temporary. It is incredibly important that you follow the provided aftercare instructions.
Stage two will see the beginning of your peeling phase, it is very important that you do not pick at, pull or rub these scabs off. Once peeling has started it will usually take only a few days for all of the scabbing to fall off. Applying the provided aftercare during this time will help speed up this process.
Once all scabs have fallen off you have entered stage three. You may discontinue your aftercare instructions however we recommend you continue to nourish your skin with the provided aftercare balm if your skin looks dry or flakey. Your brows may look very light but don’t panic! Over the next three to four weeks the pigment will redevelop.
