Stages one to three
-
Phase One: Scabbing and Peeling
Immediately after your tattoo session your eyelid may be slightly swollen, this would usually reduce within the first few hours.
In the first five days following tattoo your eyeliner will develop scabs. The tattoo will appear dark and dry, there is no need to apply aftercare.
Scabs will naturally fall off gradually within the first week.
-
Phase Two: Ghosting
Once all of the scabs have naturally fallen off your eyeliner tattoo the colour will appear much lighter.
During this phase of healing it is common to worry that the procedure was unsuccessful, however a loss of colour is normal and nothing to worry about.
-
Pigment Returns
Gradually pigment will redevelop in your tattoo.
In the weeks following your tattoo you may find the area feels dry.
