Stages one to three
-
Phase One: Scabbing and Peeling
In the first five days following tattoo your eyebrows will develop scabs. Brows will appear dark and dry, keep them moisturised with the provided aftercare.
Scabs will naturally fall off gradually within the first week.
-
Phase Two: Ghosting
Once all of the scabs have naturally fallen off your brows the colour will appear very light.
During this phase of healing it is common to worry that the procedure was unsuccessful, however a loss of colour is normal and nothing to worry about.
-
Pigment Returns
Gradually pigment will redevelop in your eyebrows
In the weeks following your tattoo you may find your brows are dry. Continue using the aftercare balm or a high quality, gentle balm or moisturiser.
Tips & tricks
Apply aftercare before eating or drinking to assist in preventing contamination
Aftercare will soothe itching sensation and mild agitation
Re-apply aftercare if your lips are feeling very dry
To avoid wetting your lips in the shower keep a clean, dry hand towel nearby, wipe away water from your face before it reaches your lips. Do not shower in a space or at a temperature that will fill with steam.
Use only disposable/one use items to apply aftercare to avoid risking infection
If your tattoo is contaminated in any way you can gently clean it; soak a disposable towel or wipe in boiled water and let it cool, wring out any excess water and gently dab your tattoo (do not rub or scrub) to remove contaminates then allow the tattoo to dry.
